INTERNATIONAL DAY OF AWARENESS OF FOOD LOSS AND WASTE

The General Assembly of the United Nations on 19th December officially introduced the International Day of Awareness of food loss and waste, an important event to remind, through awareness-raising projects, how to reduce waste is possible, right and convenient.

On this occasion, the European Commission, FAO and others will join in the global call to action against food waste by organizing a series of activities to inform and involve citizens and companies on prevention of food waste and reuse of surpluses.
