8th National Food Waste Prevention Day

The National Food Waste Prevention Day has become a consolidated appointment for the sustainable development agenda and an important date to look at the prevention and reduction of food waste as a key element to safeguard the health of the man and the environment.

This year, the National Food Waste Prevention Day focuses the attention on the new decade that will guide us to 2030: the ONU Agenda 2030 Sustainability Goals and the new tool for the monitoring of food waste in Italy.

The 2021 theme is “Stop food waste. One health, one planet " focuses on the impact that waste has on the health of humans and the planet and on how decisive and fundamental it is to act as soon as possible to limit food surpluses.
